Basque Museum and Cultural Center - Housed in Boise's oldest surviving brick building. (Built in 1864 by Mayor Cyrus Jacobs) the Center preserves Basque tradition and sponsors cultural events. 343-2671
Boise Art Museum - Located off Capitol Boulevard in Julia Davis Park, the museum is open 10 a.m. till 5 p.m. on Tuesday through Fri-day and from Noon till 5 p.m on Saturday and Sunday. General Admission is $4.00. 345-8330
Boise City Depot - An architectural interest in Spanish style, the depot is surrounded by the Platt Gardens and is located on Capitol Boulevard facing downtown and the state capitol. Built in 1925, it originally served as a railroad passenger and freight station.
Boise State Pavilion - A 12,400 seat multipurpose complex on the Boise State University campus. It contains an arena used for athletic events, concerts, roadshows, rodeos and more. It also houses a gym, running track, exercise facilities, catering rooms and student and faculty offices.385-1766
Boise Tour Train - Consisting of three open sided passenger cars and a miniature replica of an 1890's "Puffer Belly" engine, the "train" departs from Julia Davis Park and moves over city streets in a tour of historic areas. Operates in season by Boise Tour Train & Trolley Service 342-4796
Boondocks Fun Center – Family fun indoors and out: Bumper Boats, Go Karts, Indoor Children's Play Center and more. In Meridian off 1-84. 322-4524
Discovery Center of Idaho – A hands-on museum which features such delights as the "Incredbubble Machine" and the "Catenary Arch." 343-9895
Edwards 21 Cinemas & IMAX - Idaho's only 100 mm movie theatre and a 21 conventional movie screens located amid restaurants and shopping. Off I-84 in Boise near the intersection of Cole St. and Overland Road.
Idaho Botanical Gardens Nine theme gardens ranging from herbs to irises and roses with the Basque and Chinese Gardens seen as very unique attractions. The Garden is adjacent to the Old Idaho Penitentiary and is open mid-April through mid-October. 343-8469
Idaho City Historical Museum -Preserves much of Idaho City's mining heritage. Once the North-west's largest city, land-marks of its past may be seen on a self-guided tour. 392-4550
Idaho Historical Museum - Provides exhibits and displays related to the state's history. Highlights include Indian relics, a restored Chinese Temple, a reconstructed pioneer village and the Old Overland Saloon. 334-2120
Julia Davis Fun Spot and Yacht Club - Fun for youngsters of all ages located in Julia Davis Park. Paddle boats and rides operated in season. 343-1141
Morrison Center for the Performing Arts - Located on the BSU campus, the Center hosts year-round entertainment and features a ten-story stagehouse with adjustable acoustics. 385-1110
Morrison Knudsen Nature Center - A living aquatic museum which provides underwater viewing windows to see below-water life in a mountain stream. Located in Municipal Park just a short distance from city center.
Old Idaho Penitentiary Historical Museum Site - Here you may see the actual 1 87OIdahoTerri-torial prison. In use for 100 years, the prison confmed such infamous characters as the Butch Cassidy gang members. Today the old buildings house Idaho Transportation and History of Electricity in Idaho exhibits. Idaho Historical Society offers a slideshow and self-guiding tours of the cells, gallows, landscaped rose gardens, and the Old Prison Quarry Trail. 334-2844
Snake River Birds of Prey - A sanctuary for raptors located south of Boise. The sanctuary provides a large area of land as a breeding area. Extends along 85 spectacular miles on the banks of the Snake River. Eagles, falcons, hawks, owls and other birds of prey may be observed with bare eyes or binoculars from canyon rim. 384-3334

The Grove - The city's public plaza is the site of such community events as "Alive After Five," a Spring and Summer program of weekly entertainment.
World Center for Birds of Prey is a breeding ground for many of the most endangered raptors. Originally established to protect disappearing Peregrine falcons, the center now is renowned for avian research on additional species. Birds are raised for release in the wilds both here and abroad. Zoo Boise - In Julia Davis Park, the Zoo was established in 1916 and houses birds, reptiles and approximately 285 animals from around the world. Its Children's Contact Zoo has touchable animals. 384-4260
